Much of legislation pursued in Annapolis during session comes from constituents. If you have an item that you believe I can address through state legislation please do not hesitate to contact my office by phone 301-858-3090 or e-mail

Each delegate in Annapolis is given a certain amount of money which goes towards towards scholarships for Maryland residents.

I believe that it is more  appropriate to have scholarships awarded by agencies that are independent of the political process, therefore, I have requested that the District 15 scholarship funds that have been allocated to me be awarded through the  Montgomery County Public Schools Educational Foundation.

Applications for the District 15 scholarships can be found at Montgomery County Public Schools Educational Foundation’s website (click here)

The deadline for applications is March 30th.

I wish you luck in your educational endeavors.  If you have any further questions about the District 15 scholarship process, please contact my office at 301-858-3090.

Student Page Program

Each year I have the privilege of working with high school students around the state of Maryland who come to Annapolis to work as part of the student page program.

Every year the Maryland General Assembly seeks talented high school seniors with in an interest in government to participate in the legislature's student page program.

Each selected page will serve two nonconsecutive weeks in either the Maryland House of Delegates or the State Senate during the thirteen week session that runs from January to April.

The deadline for applications is typically in October of the year preceding the session.

I encourage high school seniors with an interest in government to take advantage of this wonderful program.

For more information visit the Department of Legislative Service Student Page Program page. Also check out to the Maryland General Assembly Page Facebook Page to see comments and pictures from previous participants.

If you have any further questions or need assistance applying to this program, please contact my office at 301-858-3090.
